The History and Future of Adoption in America (1.5 Hours)
Beginning with the first formal adoption law enacted in 1846, the attitudes and responses to adoption have changed drastically throughout history and continue to evolve today. This session will explore the changes in adoption laws and policies through America’s history, as well as discuss recent changes in laws and policies and potential future areas of advancement.
